Big city eats on a small scale budget: where to eat for less than £10

Living and working in London on a budget will always be a challenge especially if one craves a late night takeaway or eating in a restaurant rather than cook meals at home. However there are few good tips to note and it needn't be that expensive. Look out for daily deals on sites like Just-Eat.co.uk and HungryHouse.co.uk

Both of them and few other takeaway websites in London will often give discounts of even up to 20% offering a considerable saving on your dinner. So a plate of sushi takeaway shouldn't cost a small fortune.

London has introduced something called a takeaways toolkit. Takeaways are good for London’s economy, but they’re often bad for Londoners’ health. Takeaways toolkit is there to help London boroughs balance the economic benefits with the health negatives. The takeaways toolkit has three main recommendations for boroughs: Make food healthier: local authorities should work with takeaway businesses and the food industry to make healthier fast food. They can do this by providing information, training, advice and promoting schemes, such as London’s Healthier Catering Commitment

Start them young: schools should have strategies to reduce the amount of unhealthy food children eat at lunch and on their journeys to and from school

Plan for health: encourage the use of regulatory and planning measures to address the increase of hot food takeaway outlets
